HERRIMAN, Utah-Hunter Price, Tyrel Morley and Duncan Hendry had 10 points apiece and the North Sanpete Hawks outlasted Providence Hall 46-44 Wednesday in non-region boys basketball play. The Hawks shot 57 percent (16-28) from the field for the game and came up with a key defensive stop to end the game to improve to 8-1.

Bryson Baker had 16 points on 5-8 from the field and 5-5 at the foul line in defeat for the Patriots, who fell to 3-3 in defeat.

The Hawks return to action Friday at Castle Dale to face the Emery Spartans.

Providence Hall returns to action Friday at Juab as the Patriots’ non-region slate ensues.

DELTA, Utah-Hunter Rhodes posted 20 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists and the Millard Eagles pounded Delta 73-39 in non-region boys basketball play Wednesday at the Palladium. Wayland Crane led the Rabbits in defeat with 13 points.

GUNNISON, Utah-Myles Bartholomew stepped up with 12 points as the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs pounded Merit 61-14 in non-region boys basketball play Wednesday. Allen Merdonca had 3 points in the loss for the Knights.

MONROE, Utah-Connor Holroyd led the way with 12 points and the Richfield Wildcats got past South Sevier 46-40 Wednesday in non-region boys basketball play. Ridge Tebbs led the Rams in the loss with 11 points.

Girls Basketball

Region 20

MILFORD, Utah-Kassidy Westwood amassed 23 points and the Piute Thunderbirds steamrolled Milford 54-38 in Region 20 girls basketball play Wednesday. JaLeana Tsosie had 18 points for the Tigers in defeat.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Janilyn Holt posted 22 points as the Valley Buffaloes got past Water Canyon 45-40 Wednesday in Region 20 girls basketball play. Melissa Jessop led the Wildcats in the loss with 12 points.

PANGUITCH, Utah-Abbee Holman led the way with 14 points and the Panguitch Bobcats waxed Wayne 42-35 in Region 20 girls basketball play Wednesday. Aspen New had 9 points in defeat for the Badgers.

TROPIC, Utah-Reagan Syrett stepped up with 13 points and the Bryce Valley Mustangs edged Escalante 36-34 Wednesday in Region 20 girls basketball play.

GUNNISON, Utah-Rilee Dyreng netted 24 points as the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs smacked Merit 51-15 in non-region girls basketball action Wednesday. Marry Moody had 6 points in defeat for the Knights.
