RICHFIELD, Utah-Hayden Brunson posted 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists on 9-14 from the field as the Tintic Miners clobbered Green River 76-38 to conclude the 1A Boys Preview at the Sevier Valley Center. Cooper Snell added 20 points and 8 assists for the Miners in the win. Raul Mendoza, Ryker Meadows and Jordan Anderson had 10 points apiece for the Pirates in the loss. Tintic leaves the preview with a 3-4 record as Green River stumbles to 1-5. Tintic led 21-16 after one quarter. A 20-0 run in the 2nd Quarter put the game away for the Miners.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Cole Barton’s 11 points and 3 rebounds led the Pinnacle Panthers to a 44-21 win over Telos Saturday to conclude the 1A Boys Preview at the Sevier Valley Center. Seth Fay had 6 points and 4 rebounds in the loss for the Titans. Telos fell to 4-3 on the season and Pinnacle improved to 3-3.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Tuck Davis posted 19 points and 11 rebounds on 8-16 from the field as the Manila Mustangs overpowered Wayne 48-36 to conclude the 1A Boys Preview Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center. Hunter Mitchell had 17 points and 7 rebounds on 6-7 from the field in defeat for the Badgers.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Kyler Bennett’s 19 points and 11 rebounds on 7-11 from the field led the Panguitch Bobcats to a 50-34 rout of Tabiona at the Sevier Valley Center Saturday to conclude the 1A Boys Preview. The Bobcats shot 55 percent (21-38) from the field on the afternoon to improve to 7-0 on the season. Logan Rhoades had 14 points and 4 assists on 6-8 from the field for the Tigers in the loss.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Brooks Dalton flirted with a triple-double, posting 15 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists as the Piute Thunderbirds routed Monticello 61-34 Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center to conclude the 1A Boys Preview. Boston Freestone netted 19 points and 5 rebounds on 6-11 from the field and 6-7 at the foul line for the Buckaroos in the loss. Piute improves to 5-0 and Monticello falls to 1-4 in defeat.
RICHFIELD, Utah-McCoy Harris had 21 points and 6 rebounds while shooting 7-14 from the field as the Valley Buffaloes bested Whitehorse 67-54 at the Sevier Valley Center to conclude the 1A Boys Preview Saturday. D’Wayne Nakai had 17 points and 4 rebounds for the Raiders in defeat. Valley improved to 3-3 with the win while Whitehorse slumped to 1-4.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Treyson Clark posted 19 points and the Bryce Valley Mustangs bested Intermountain Christian 54-34 Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center to conclude the 1A Boys Preview. Keaton Okino’s 17 points on 6-10 from the field led the Lions in the loss. Bryce Valley improved to 3-2 on the season and the Lions fell to 2-7.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Orlando Alvarez posted 24 points and the Wendover Wildcats handed Milford their first loss of the season with a 51-37 win over the Tigers Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center to conclude the 1A Boys Preview. Treyton Rose’s 18 points and 9 rebounds led the Tigers in the loss. Wendover improves to 2-4 on the season as Milford falls to 4-1.
Challenge At the Cliffs
ST. GEORGE, Utah-The Green Valley (Nev.) Gators bested Richfield 58-45 Saturday at the Challenge of the Cliffs at Crimson Cliffs High School. Connor Holroyd’s 17 points led the Wildcats in the loss.
Non-Region
FILLMORE, Utah-Tyrel Morley posted 13 points and the North Sanpete Hawks humbled Millard 62-54 Saturday in non-region boys basketball play. Hunter Rhodes led the Eagles in the loss with 23 points.
Girls Basketball
Buffalo Shootout
ORDERVILLE, Utah-AnDee VanDyke led the way with 16 points and 11 rebounds as the Wayne Badgers gashed Parowan 49-42 at the Buffalo Shootout Saturday at Valley High School. Brooklyn Hulet led the Rams in the loss with 16 points.
ORDERVILLE, Utah-Tabbie Henrie stepped up with 17 points and the Panguitch Bobcats waxed Valley 56-42 Saturday at Valley High School at the Buffalo Shootout. D’Aundra House had 14 points in defeat for the Buffaloes.
Non-Region
MONROE, Utah-Aspen Okerlund led the way with 12 points and the South Sevier Rams pounded North Sevier 50-22 Saturday in non-region girls basketball action. Kamryn Pierce had 6 points in the loss for the Wolves.
