HURRICANE, Utah-RJ Hurst led the way with 20 points and the Hurricane Tigers pounded South Sevier 73-47 Saturday at the Hurricane Tournament. Mackson Bastian led the Rams with 12 points in the loss.
Buffalo Stampede @ Valley High School
ORDERVILLE, Utah-Trey Castagno recorded 18 points and the Kanab Cowboys surged past Valley 54-45 at the Buffalo Stampede Saturday at Valley High School. Bodie Cox led the Buffalos in the loss with 15 points.
Non-Region
ROOSEVELT, Utah-Miles Barnett posted 13 points and the Richfield Wildcats bested Union 58-49 in non-region boys basketball action Saturday. Gavin Miller led all scorers with 14 points in defeat for the Cougars.

1A Season Preview @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Maycee Rhoades recorded 18 points and 10 rebounds and Joy Gines added 17 points on 5-7 from the field and 4-5 behind the arc as the Tabiona Tigers downed Valley 51-33 Saturday to conclude their time at the 1A season preview at the Sevier Valley Center. Rachel Cox netted 17 points on 6-11 from the field and Kimber Reeve added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the loss for the Buffalos.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Mazee Dunton’s 10 points and 9 rebounds led the way and the Escalante Moquis routed Water Canyon 36-14 Saturday at the 1A season preview at the Sevier Valley Center. Joann Barlow and Tammy Johnson had 6 points apiece in defeat for the Wildcats. Escalante has now won six straight against Water Canyon, dating back to 2020, and leads the all-time series 9-4.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Kassali Wall’s 11 points led the way and the Manila Mustangs defeated Piute for the first time since 2006 with a 33-28 win over the Thunderbirds Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center at the 1A season preview. Kaycee Gleave netted 13 points and 8 rebounds in the loss for Piute.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Shimequa Hudson posted 14 points and 7 rebounds and the Monument Valley Cougars defeated Milford 48-39 at the Sevier Valley Center during the 1A season preview Saturday. Tayleah Spaulding’s 20 points on 7-11 from the field led the Tigers in the loss.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Shunbaah Begay’s 12 points led the way and the Whitehorse Raiders downed Bryce Valley 44-31 during the 1A season preview Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center. MaKyndie Clark posted 9 points on 3-3 from range in defeat for the Mustangs.
RICHFIELD, Utah-AJ VanDyke recorded 14 points and 12 rebounds and the Wayne Badgers pounded Monticello 58-25 at the Sevier Valley Center Saturday during the 1A season preview. Jemma Robison’s 11 points led the Buckaroos in the loss.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Tabetha Henrie’s 17 points led the way and the Panguitch Bobcats pummeled Tintic 54-9 Saturday during the 1A season preview at the Sevier Valley Center. Alle Young, Kaylyn Jameson and Kyah Farr had 2 points apiece for the Miners in the loss.
