EUREKA, Utah-Jet Hill’s 18 points led the way and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs routed Tintic 68-37 Friday at the Tintic Pick & Shovel Tournament at Tintic High School. Cole Ward led the Miners in defeat with 9 points.
EUREKA, Utah-Klyn Fullmer netted 16 points and the Panguitch Bobcats hammered Grand 67-49 at the Tintic Pick & Shovel Tournament Friday. Jason McKinney had 10 points for the Red Devils in defeat.
Region 16
SALINA, Utah-Jep Young amassed 21 points and the Duchesne Eagles waxed North Sevier 46-39 Friday in Region 16 boys basketball action. Kyson Bosshardt’s 18 points led the Wolves in the loss.
Non-Region
MANTI, Utah-Kayson Douglas posted 15 points on 6-9 and 3-4 from range as the Manti Templars clobbered Richfield 71-40 Friday in non-region boys basketball play. The proficient Templars shot 63 percent (30-48) for the game to improve to 11-2 on the season.
Griffin Wayman netted 16 points on 6-10 from the field for the Wildcats in the loss as they fell to 8-3.
JUNCTION, Utah-Brooks Dalton stepped up with 20 points and the Piute Thunderbirds hammered Pinnacle 70-41 in non-region boys basketball action Friday. Ryker Howell’s 12 points led the Panthers in defeat.
NEPHI, Utah-Austin Park posted 13 points and the Juab Wasps edged Grantsville 44-41 Friday in non-region boys basketball play. Gabe Mouritsen led the Cowboys in defeat with 14 points.
DELTA, Utah-Hunter Ellett netted 11 points and the Canyon View Falcons hammered Delta 55-36 in non-region boys basketball play Friday at the Palladium. Cai Henderson’s game-high 15 points led the Rabbits in defeat.
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Hunter Rhodes posted 14 points and 8 rebounds as the Millard Eagles edged North Sanpete 41-38 Friday in non-region boys basketball play.
Girls Basketball
Region 19
ENTERPRISE, Utah-Gentry Brown netted 20 points and the Beaver Beavers hammered Enterprise 51-34 in Region 19 girls basketball play Friday. Anna Balajadia had 9 points for the Wolves in the loss.
BLANDING, Utah-Savannah Bateman’s 17 points led the way and the Kanab Lady Cowboys improved to 12-0 by clobbering San Juan 71-50 Friday in Region 19 girls basketball play. Serina Yanito had a game-high 23 points in defeat for the Broncos.
Non-Region
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Nicole Willardson led the way with 19 points and the Richfield Wildcats hammered Class 5A Maple Mountain 58-22 Friday in non-region girls basketball play. Shaylee Brown’s 6 points led the Golden Eagles in defeat.
