Boys Basketball
Region 14
NORTH SANPETE, Utah-Landon Bowles posted 20 points on 6-12 from the field and 5-5 at the foul line as the North Sanpete Hawks pounded Juab 60-52 in Region 14 boys basketball action Friday.
Justin Christensen had 21 points on 7-14 from the field and 6-8 from range to pace the Wasps, who fell to 8-8 and 2-2 in Region 14 play.
The Hawks improved to 12-3 and 2-1 in Region 14 play in victory.
North Sanpete returns to action Wednesday at the Palladium to face the Delta Rabbits. Juab faces Union at home Friday as the Region 14 season ensues for both squads.
ROOSEVELT, Utah-Raycen Olsen posted 23 points and 11 rebounds and the Union Cougars bested Delta 62-56 in Region 14 boys baketball play Friday. Wayland Crane had 25 points for the Rabbits in the loss.
Region 16
FILLMORE, Utah-Hunter Rhodes netted 19 points and the Millard Eagles downed Duchesne 62-58 Friday in Region 16 boys basketball play. Parker Crum posted 25 points in defeat for the Duchesne Eagles.
COALVILLE, Utah-Trey Pace stepped up with 25 points and 9 rebounds as the North Summit Braves humbled Gunnison Valley 47-41 in Region 16 boys basketball play Friday. Aiden O’Neal led the Bulldogs in the loss with 9 points.
Region 19
BLANDING, Utah-Jensen Grover led the way with 21 points and the San Juan Broncos bucked Kanab 67-53 Friday in Region 19 boys basketball play. Logan Little led the Cowboys in the loss with 12 points.
PAROWAN, Utah-Brock Felder posted 23 points and the Parowan Rams waxed Beaver 52-43 in Region 19 boys basketball play Friday. Boston Black led the Beavers with 13 points in the loss.
Girls Basketball
Region 19
KANAB, Utah-Grayce Glover amassed 21 points and the Kanab Lady Cowboys routed San Juan 73-42 in Region 19 girls basketball play Friday. Serina Yanito had 13 points for the Broncos in defeat.
Region 20
ESCALANTE, Utah-Kenzie Lyman led the way with 11 points and the Escalante Moquis stonewalled Bryce Valley 35-20 Friday in Region 20 girls basketball play. Reagan Syrett had 7 points for the Mustangs in the loss.
HILDALE, Utah-Melissa Jessop netted 24 points and the Water Canyon Wildcats got past Valley 59-52 in Region 20 girls basketball play Friday. Janilyn Hoyt had 16 points in the loss for the Buffaloes.
Non-Region
JUNCTION, Utah-Kassidy Westwood netted 25 points and the Piute Thunderbirds bested Grand 50-38 Friday in non-region girls basketball action. Megan Zunich had 8 points in defeat for the Red Devils.
