Boys Basketball

Region 12

RICHFIELD, Utah-Chet Anderson led the way with 17 points and the Carbon Dinos overpowered Richfield 63-55 in Region 12 boys basketball play Wednesday. Connor Holroyd led the Wildcats in defeat with 12 points.

Region 14

ROOSEVELT, Utah-Tyler Walker netted 16 points and 4 rebounds on 5-8 from the field as the Union Cougars upset North Sanpete 60-47 Wednesday in Region 14 boys basketball action.

Grady Gardner added 15 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds for the Cougars, who improved to 10-6 on the season in capturing their initial Region 14 win of the season.

The proficient Cougars also shot 54 percent (22-41) from the field for the game.

Landon Bowles led the Hawks in defeat with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. North Sanpete falls to 11-3 and 1-1 in Region 14 play with the loss.

Union resumes the region season Friday by hosting Delta and North Sanpete continues Region 14 play by hosting Juab on Friday.

MANTI, Utah-Larson Pogroszewski and Dylan Anderson had 13 points apiece and the Manti Templars bested Juab 59-44 Wednesday in Region 14 boys basketball play. Ryker Richards led the Wasps in the loss with 9 points.

Region 16

GUNNISON, Utah-Ethan Fielding led the way with 15 points and the North Sevier Wolves downed Gunnison Valley 52-47 in Region 16 boys basketball play Wednesday. Jon Willden led the Bulldogs with 14 points in the loss.

Region 19

KANAB, Utah-Nash Palmer stepped up with 18 points and the Enterprise Wolves gashed Kanab 64-48 in Region 19 boys basketball play Wednesday. Jordan Cornell led the Cowboys in the loss with 13 points.

MONROE, Utah-Brock Felder netted 23 points and the Parowan Rams edged South Sevier 51-49 Wednesday in Region 19 play in the battle of the Rams. Ridge Tebbs’ 15 points led the South Sevier Rams in defeat.

Girls Basketball

Region 20

ESCALANTE, Utah-Mikki Prows posted 21 points and the Escalante Moquis tripped up Milford 52-39 in Region 20 girls basketball action Wednesday. NayVee Williams led the Tigers in defeat with 10 points.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Kassidy Westwood amassed 29 points and the Piute Thunderbirds smacked Valley 70-55 Wednesday in Region 20 girls basketball play. Janilyn Hoyt led the Buffaloes in the loss with 18 points.

BICKNELL, Utah-Emma Hallows posted 14 points and 4 rebounds as the Wayne Badgers got past Water Canyon 43-27 in Region 20 girls basketball play Wednesday. Melissa Jessop led the Wildcats with 11 points in defeat.

PANGUITCH, Utah-The Panguitch Bobcats rolled past Bryce Valley 50-34 Wednesday in Region 20 girls basketball action.
