Region 12
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Reggie Frischknecht posted 23 points and 12 rebounds on 9-15 from the field and the Manti Templars surged past North Sanpete 62-48 Friday in Region 12 boys basketball play. Austin Thomas added 15 points and 5 rebounds on 6-8 from the field in the win for the Templars as they improved to 12-4 and 5-1 in Region 12 play. Cole Cook’s 11 points and 5 rebounds led the Hawks in the loss as North Sanpete fell to 6-8 and 2-4 in Region 12 play. Manti returns to action Wednesday at Juab in Region 12 play. North Sanpete next visits Emery Wednesday as their Region 12 season continues.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Felps Sanders led the way with 25 points and the Canyon View Falcons bested Delta 52-44 in Region 12 boys basketball play Friday. Cai Henderon had 20 points in the loss for the Rabbits.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Miles Barnett netted 19 points and the Richfield Wildcats pounded Juab 48-26 Friday in Region 12 boys basketball play. Braxton Hooper had 6 points in the loss for the Wasps.
Region 18
HILDALE, Utah-Kyle Brown led the way with 19 points as the Kanab Cowboys routed Water Canyon 75-43 in Region 18 boys basketball play Friday. Aaron Barlow’s game-high 20 points led the Wildcats in defeat.
ENTERPRISE, Utah-Treyson Whitman netted 22 points and the Enterprise Wolves clobbered Millard 72-33 Friday in Region 18 boys basketball play. Derk Memmott had 14 points in the loss for the Eagles.
MONROE, Utah-Stockton Roberts led the way with 21 points and 5 rebounds and the South Sevier Rams surged past Beaver 61-47 in Region 18 boys basketball play Friday. Deegan Blackner led the Beavers in the loss with 17 points.
Girls Basketball
Region 20
PANGUITCH, Utah-Mallory Henrie stepped up with 20 points and the Panguitch Bobcats bested Valley 69-60 Friday in Region 20 girls basketball play. Rachel Cox had 24 points in the loss for the Buffalos.
BICKNELL, Utah-Kaycee Gleave recorded 21 points and the Piute Thunderbirds routed Wayne 45-27 in Region 20 girls basketball play Friday. AJ VanDyke had 13 points and 11 rebounds in the loss for the Badgers.
Non-Region
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Jaynee Tanner led the way with 18 points and 14 rebounds and the Class 5A Maple Mountain Golden Eagles edged Manti 45-43 in non-region girls basketball play Friday. Cadee Alder led the Templars in the loss with 18 points.
