ESCALANTE, Utah-Ryker Peterson’s 21 points on 8 of 12 from the field led the Wayne Badgers to a 62-16 rout of Escalante in Region 20 boys basketball action Tuesday. Jaxen Cottam had 5 points in defeat for the Moquis.

ROOSEVELT, Utah-Peyton Murray stepped up with 17 points and the Union Cougars recorded their first win of the season by besting Juab 50-43 in Region 14 girls basketball play Tuesday. Ava Cuff led the Wasps in the loss with 18 points.
