IRVING, Texas-Monday, BYU football redshirt junior receiver/kick returner Parker Kingston was named the Big 12 special teams player of the week for his contributions to the Cougars’ 41-21 win over UCF last Saturday.

Kingston returned a punt 55 yards for a score in the 3rd Quarter to give BYU a 31-14 lead for the Knights in the victory.

Kingston also caught six passes for 126 yards and a score in the win over UCF for the Cougars.

Kingston and his BYU teammates next play Texas Tech Saturday at 10:00 am at AT&T Stadium of Arlington, Texas in the Big 12 championship game.
