PASADENA, Calif.-Monday, the University of Utah football team received a break as Ohio State star receiver Garrett Wilson opted out of the Rose Bowl per his official Twitter account.

Wilson is the Buckeyes’ first draft-eligible player to publicly opt out of the prestigious New Year’s Day bowl game.
Wilson posted 70 receptions for 1,058 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Buckeyes this season. The native of Austin, Texas also added a running score on the season for the 10-2 Buckeyes.
The Buckeyes will also be without the services of senior receiver Chris Olave, junior tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere and graduate defensive tackle Haskell Garrett on Saturday
