MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Monday, North Sanpete senior boys basketball guard Landon Bowles was named The Deseret News Boys Basketball Player of the Week.

In wins over Manti and Union, Bowles averaged 27.5 points. This included a 32-point 12-rebound performance in the 65-62 win over the Templars February 2.

Bowles is averaging 17.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.9 steals per game for the Hawks this season.

Bowles and his North Sanpete teammates are in action again Wednesday at Juab as their Region 14 season ensues.
