ST. GEORGE, Utah-Friday, Dixie State University President Dr. Richard D. Williams announced the appointment of Ken Beazer as Interim Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Beazer was appointed to fill in for Dr. Jason Boothe who had filled this role since 2010.

Beazer has worked at the university since 2015 and is transitioning into this role after serving as the Executive Director of Development in the Dixie State Advancement Office.

Beazer had previously served as the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Southern Utah University from 2006-2015 and at Snow College from 1995-2001.

Beazer has also served as the president of the NCAA FCS Athletic Directors Association (2014-15) and as director of athletic development at Utah State (2001-2005).

Beazer is a 1989 graduate of Weber State, earning a degree in Communication.

He earned a Master’s in Communication from Washington State in 1991.

A national search for a permanent athletic director is currently underway.
