PROVO, Utah-Thursday, BYU football added former Baylor and South Florida quarterback Gerry Bohanon through the transfer portal.

Bohanon will be a senior for the Cougars. In his college career, he has completed 59.6 percent of his passes for 3,464 yards, 26 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

Bohanon sat out the 2023 season at South Florida with a shoulder injury.

The 6-3 221-pound Bohanon is the fifth quarterback presently on the BYU roster.

He is joined by redshirt freshman Ryder Burton, junior Cade Fennegan, Utah transfer Nick Billoups, former Corner Canyon star Cole Hagen and Texas-San Antonio transfer Noah Lugo.
