ST. GEORGE, Utah-Wednesday morning, Dixie State announced its 2022 football schedule.

Dixie State head coach Paul Peterson called the schedule one that will have the Trailblazers prepare for NCAA FCS playoff eligibility quickly. Because of  NCAA transfer rules, Dixie State will first be eligible for the NCAA FCS playoffs in the 2024 season.

The 2022 schedule is as follows:

September 3 @ Sacramento State

September 10 vs. Chadron State (Neb.)

September 17 @ Weber State

September 24 @ Southern Utah

October 1 vs. Abilene Christian

October 8 vs. Lamar

October 15 @ Northern Iowa

October 29 @ Stephen F. Austin

November 5 vs. Sam Houston (Senior Day)

November 12 @ Incarnate Word

November 19 @ BYU

The November 19 game at BYU is significant. It represents the first time in the schools’ respective histories that the Trailblazers and Cougars have met on the gridiron.
