EPRHAIM, Utah-Monday, Snow College Athletic Director Rob Nielson named former Panguitch High School multi-sport star Chase Englestead as the head coach of the newly created men’s and women’s cross country teams.

Englestead comes to the Badgers after 14 years as the cross country/track and field head coach at Riverton High School.

Under his guidance, the Silverwolves’ boys track and field squad won the 2014 5A state championship.

Englestead began his coaching career in 2010 as a track and field coach at Timberline High School of Alpine, Utah while also serving as a volunteer at Utah Valley University with the Wolverines’ cross country program.

Englestead’s grandfather, Ray, coached basketball and track and field at Snow College in the 1960s and is a 2006 inductee in the Utah Coaches Hall of Fame.
