EUGENE, Ore.-Saturday, former Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network school multi-sports stars Whittni Orton and Anna Camp competed at the USTFA Olympic Trials at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon in the women’s 1500-meter run.
Orton, a former Panguitch High School and BYU star, posted a time of 4:10.70 in the event, placing 14th overall.
Camp, who starred at Millard High School and BYU, ran a time of 4:12.05, finishing 16th.

Both of these star runners failed to qualify for the finals in this event as only the top 13 finishers advanced to Monday’s finals in the event. Having placed 14th overall, Orton fell just short.
The top qualifier in this event heading into Monday is Nikki Hiltz, who starred at Arkansas and Oregon as a collegian and currently represents Adidas as well as the United States. Hiltz posted a time of 4:05.87.
