FORT WORTH, Texas-Tuesday, University of Utah sophomore quarterback Cameron Rising was named to the Davey O’Brien Quarterback Class of 2021.

Rising is now eligible to be voted as a semifinalist for the award. The list of 16 candidates nationwide will be revealed November 9.

Through October 31, fans can vote for Rising on the Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts.

The top five recipients on each social media platform will receive a boost from the Davey O’Brien Award National Selection Committee later in the award process.

This season, Rising completes 64.3 percent of his passes for 1,139 yards, 11 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

He has also run for a pair of scores on the season for the Utes.

Rising and his Utes teammates host UCLA Saturday evening as they seek to bounce back from a 42-34 loss last Saturday at Oregon State.
