PROVO, Utah-In news from Wednesday, BYU and San Diego State men’s basketball announced an extension to their series.

The Cougars and Aztecs extended their series through 2023.

The squads will meet November 11, 2022, Veteran’s Day, at Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl and at the Marriott Center on an unspecified date in 2023.

The Cougars and Aztecs have met 76 times on the hardwood previously, making this the sixth-most played rivalry in BYU men’s basketball history.

The Cougars lead the series 50-26 all-time.

BYU and San Diego State have previously been conference brethren in the Western Athletic Conference (1978-1998) and Mountain West Conference (1999-2011).
