PROVO, Utah-Friday, BYU football signed Oregon transfer and former Corner Canyon star, linebacker Harrison Taggart.

Taggart, who appeared in three games for the Ducks last season before using his redshirt freshman season thereafter, will have four seasons of eligibility for the Cougars.

A two-way player with the Chargers, Taggart helped Corner Canyon win the 2021 6A Utah state football championship his junior season.

During his time at Corner Canyon, Taggart posted 7.5 sacks, 151 tackles and 22 stops for a loss.

Offensively, as a receiver, Taggart recorded 8 receptions for 179 yards (22.4 yards per reception) and a score.

Taggart and his newfound BYU teammates start the season September 2 by hosting FBS newcomer Sam Houston at LaVell Edwards Stadium of Provo.
