PROVO, Utah-Wednesday, BYU head football coach Kalani Sitake announced the mid-year additions of graduate transfers tailback Christopher Brooks (California) and fullback Houston Heimuli (Stanford).
Both Brooks and Heimuli have enrolled at BYU for the winter semester.
The 6-1 235-pound Brooks will have one year of eligibility with the Cougars. During his career with the Golden Bears, he amassed 1,734 rushing yards and 14 scores on the ground as well as 2,079 scrimmage yards and 21 net scores.
Heimuli, a native of Woods Cross, Utah and graduate of Bountiful High School, has 8 career rushes for 32 yards and a score during his time with the Cardinal.
Other Cougars to enroll for the winter semester include offensive lineman Kingsley Suamataia and defensive standouts, defensive end/outside linebacker Logan Fano, defensive linemen Brooks Maile, Bruce Mitchell and Aisea Moa and defensive back Isaiah Glasker.
