FARMINGTON, Utah-Wednesday, the Big Sky Conference and ESPN reached a new multi-year multi-platform media rights deal.

This adds numerous Southern Utah University and Weber State University sports events to ESPN+ and the ESPN app.

For the Thunderbirds, this will only be through July 1, 2022 at which point they will join the Western Athletic Conference.

For the time being, Thunderbirds and Wildcats fans can catch all home games and all matchups against fellow Big Sky Conference foes on ESPN+.

They also have a probability of airing on ESPNU as the channel will televise two football games each year. ESPNU is also to broadcast one regular season men’s basketball games and the men’s and women’s basketball conference tournament championship games.

The first event to occur on this platform is the Big Sky Conference’s annual football kickoff which will stream on ESPN+ Monday July 26.
