Anderson/Sitake/Whittingham Named Semifinalists For Munger Collegiate Coach of the Year

LOGAN, Utah-Thursday, Utah State first-year head football coach Blake Anderson, BYU head coach Kalani Sitake and Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham were named among the 15 semifinalists for the George Munger Collegiate Coach of the Year Award as confirmed by the Maxwell Football Club.

Anderson was previously named as the American Football Coaches Association Region 5 Coach of the Year and a finalist for the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award.

Anderson is 10-3 at the helm of the Aggies’ program while Utah State faces Oregon State Saturday at the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl at Inglewood, Calif.

Sitake led the Cougars to a 10-2 record while BYU plays Alabama-Birmingham Saturday at the Independence Bowl of Shreveport, La.

Whittingham led the Utes to a 10-3 record and a Pac-12 championship. The Utes will play Big Ten representative Ohio State in the Rose Bowl at Pasadena, Calif. January 1.
