Snow College information for on campus living students – campus facilities closed

Campus facilities will temporarily close from March 21-29 as a precaution due to the COVID-19 outbreak and our regularly scheduled spring break. Please visit snow.edu/coronavirus for more information.

….

As you know, we are in unprecedented times that require unprecedented actions. Our priority at this time is to keep Snow College students, staff, and faculty, as well as all of our families and communities, safe and healthy. We have had to make many decisions in a very short time period. Decisions have been altered or adapted as the situation has evolved and more changes are likely.  Today we announce a change in procedure for our students living on-campus.  We encourage all students to consider these recommendations.

–          Where possible, we ask students who are traveling or visiting home for spring break to stay at those homes through the end of spring semester.  You should be prepared to start your on-line learning experience remotely from your permanent residence on March 30.

–          This particular part of the state does not have any confirmed cases of COVID-19. Our local health professionals have notified us that the next two weeks are crucial for flattening the curve in our area.  Because of this, we are trying to limit the number of visitors to our campuses.  All buildings will be closed from March 21-30.

–          If you have left campus at this point, we request that you do not return to your housing units until April 2 to collect your belongings.  They are secure.  If you have experienced any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who is infected, please do not come to campus.  The state hotline (1-800-456-7707) is a great resource for those concerned about being sick.

–           For those students who must remain in Snow College on-campus housing, please contact the Office of Residence Life.

–          For non-resident students who are establishing Utah residency, leaving the state of Utah will not affect residency status.

We know these rapid changes have caused anxiety, and we greatly appreciate all of you for being flexible and understanding.
