(Salt Lake City, UT) — University of Utah is getting backlash over a partnership with an Israeli school. The University signed a partnership last month with Ariel University, which is located on the occupied West Bank. A letter and petition signed by faculty, staff, students and alumni was sent to top University administrators protesting the partnership. The letter claims that “any academic cooperation” between the University of Utah and Ariel University is a “violation of both state and federal law.”
