(Moab, UT) — A new state park is welcoming visitors in southeastern Utah. UtahRaptor State Park officially opened last week with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Governor Spencer Cox. The park, located northwest of Moab, is the 46th state park in Utah and filled with dinosaur fossils that mostly came from Dalton Wells Quarry. Cox joked the park is the first project in state history to take over 100-million years to create. UtahRaptor also preserves other parts of history, as the area was home to a Great Depression-era program and an internment camp during World War Two.
