PROVO, Utah (AP) — Authorities say a Utah woman has died as a result of injuries sustained during an accident while riding an all-terrain vehicle.

The woman was riding 4-wheel ATVs with a friend at the Little Sahara Sand Dunes in West Desert.

The name of the 37-year-old Saratoga Springs woman was not immediately made public.

Chief Deputy Brent Pulver of the Juab County Sheriff’s Office says the accident occurred when the woman went over a dune with a sharp drop.

She appeared to have suffered internal injuries, but the state medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death.
