(Salt Lake City, UT) — School enrollment in Utah is down for the first time ever. The State Board of Education said yesterday that public school enrollment fell by nearly two-thousand students this year. That’s a three-tenths of a percent decrease from 2022. The biggest drops were in elementary grades, where kindergarten enrollment fell three-percent and first-grade classes are off by four-point-four percent.
