(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s 2024 legislative session gets underway one week from today. Lawmakers will be back at the State Capitol building in Salt Lake City next Tuesday with hundreds of bills already ready to review. Among the topics expected to come up in education include banning cell phones in classrooms, which failed to get out of committee last year. Deseret News reports legislators are also expected to bring up water on the floor during this session, including efforts to help the Great Salt Lake. Affordable housing around the Beehive State is also expected to be a topic of conversation in the capital city.
