(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s law enforcement agencies are cracking down on distracted driving. Salt Lake City Police Officer Lucas Johnson was among the 100 members of law enforcement who were pulling over distracted drivers yesterday. The Utah Department of Public Safety says there were more than 53-hundred distracted driving crashes last year. Twelve people died in those crashes. The Salt Lake County blitz will last through the weekend, with another scheduled to start in Utah County on Monday.
