Utah Firefighters Heading To Florida Ahead Of Hurricane

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Two Utah firefighters are in Florida helping with emergency preparations for Hurricane Ian. The two firefighters are a part of Task Force One, which provides emergency personnel to other states during disasters. They were already nearby because they had been sent to Puerto Rico to help out with the impact of Hurricane Fiona. Four members of the Salt Lake American Red Cross chapter are also on their way to Florida to begin emergency prep ahead of the hurricane, which is expected to reach the state in the next few days.
