(Salt Lake City, UT) — Two more books are being banned in Utah’s public schools. The latest titles include “A Clash Of Kings” by George R.R. Martin. He’s the popular author behind “Game of Thrones”. Also being banned is “A Stolen Life” by Jaycee Dugard. She was kidnapped as a child and repeatedly raped by her attacker for years before police found her. Books can be banned statewide if that’s the wish of three school districts or charter schools. Supporters say it strikes fair balance. Critics argue it lets a handful of districts impose book bans on every school in the state.
