UHP: Deadly Crashes Up 43% So Far This Year

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah Highway Patrol says deadly crashes so far this year are running well ahead of the state’s five-year average. Enforcement numbers released yesterday reported 30 deadly crashes handled by UHP troopers statewide as of April 10th. Not only is that total up 15-percent from last year, but it’s also up 43-percent from the five-year average. So far this year, the UHP has stopped over 16-hundred drivers traveling at more than 100 miles an hour on Utah highways.
