One person is injured after a semi truck hauling turkeys crashed in Gunnison. The crash occurred June 13 just after 5:00 a.m. near mile post 242 on US 89 near the prison. US 89 was blocked for several hours, opening back up around 9:00 a.m. The driver received only minor injures and several turkeys died. Authorities believe the driver was traveling too quickly through a bend in the road.
