According to an update on the Snow College website posted the night of Dec. 18, Snow student Madelyn Allen has been found alive and is safe.

At a press conference held Dec. 19, Snow College police shared that Allen was located on Dec. 18 at a home in Wayne County.  The home was occupied by 39 year old Brent Brown who, according to a police booking affidavit, has been arrested for investigation of aggravated kidnapping, rape, object rape and obstruction of justice after police reported finding the college student naked and covered in coal in a coal storage area inside his parents home.

Allen was taken to the hospital to be evaluated and then reunited with her family. Two vigils of gratitude were held the night of Dec. 19 in Ephraim and Kaysville at 6:00 p.m.
