(Sevier, UT) — A wildfire burning an hour north of Cedar City is nearing full containment. Officials announced this past weekend management was being handed over to a local incident team because crews have reached 88 percent containment on the Silver King Fire. Firefighters will have to stay at the scene as the flames continue to be in “patrol and monitor status.” The blaze started back on July 5th in Fishlake National Forest and has burned more than 18-thousand acres. Investigators said it was started by lightning.
