One man is now in jail after hiding from police overnight in Monroe.

The Sheriff’s office responded to a call Wednesday evening after the man told someone else that he had been beat-up. As the deputies were talking to him, the man ran.

Police were finally able to catch up to the man Thursday afternoon in the foothills outside of Monroe and found an ounce of meth on him. He also has a warrant out because he’s walked away from a half-way house.
