(Washington, DC) — Republican Senator Mitt Romney continues to heap bipartisan praise on the Biden Administration’s decision to hold a diplomatic boycott for the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics. During an interview on MSNBC, Romney said it was the right move as a way to protest China’s ongoing human rights abuses, adding that he understood people wanted the U.S. to go further and not send athletes to participate. However, Romney said that would be unfair to athletes who have “trained their entire lives to prepare” for the Olympics.
