Semi Goes Up In Flames On SR-24

During the morning of Sept. 27, a semi-truck carrying fuel was traveling south on SR-24 near MP 45. According to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Clay Morgan, “the vehicle ran off the right side of the road and then overcorrected back left. As the vehicle came back on the road the pup trailer he was towing rolled over, broke open and burst into flames. The fire got into the front trailer full of fuel and burned all the equipment to the ground. It was 2 hours before the flames were calm enough to put the fire out.” The driver was not injured in the crash and SR-24 was shut down in both directions until 11:30 p.m.
