Rural County Leaders Meet In Salt Lake City To Advocate For Expanded Public Transit

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Leaders from rural counties across the state came together in Salt lake City to advocate local congress to invest in public transit. Many cited the growth of towns in Utah and the need for transportation options that don’t require a car. A member of Cedar City’s transportation board discussed how the sole bus route takes an hour for someone to go across the town. Governor Cox’s budget recommendation is to reallocate around 45-million toward the Transit Transportation Investment Fund.
