Romney Condemns Greene’s Call For “National Divorce”

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Senator Mitt Romney is condemning comments by a Georgia congresswoman calling for a “national divorce” between red states and blue states. The Utah Republican was asked about Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene’s comments yesterday in Salt Lake City. Romney criticized the hyper-partisan nature of comments made by politicians in both parties, saying things are said to get a headline and get supporters to send money. He also noted that “President Lincoln dealt with that kind of insanity,” adding “united we stand, divided we fall.” Governor Cox also condemned Greene’s comments in a tweet, calling them destructive, wrong and evil.
