Everyone is ok after a Sevier County Sheriff’s vehicle was involved in a crash on Main Street in Richfield. Just before 6:00 p.m. on Dec. 29, an officer was making a left-hand turn on to Main Street when a northbound vehicle ran a red light and collided with the front driver’s side of the officer’s vehicle. After the collision, the driver, a 60-year-old male from Elsinore, left the scene. He was located a short time later parked near where the crash occurred. According to police no injuries were reported and the man was cited for failing to stop at the red light.
