Over 900K Utahns To Participate In Great Utah ShakeOut

(Salt Lake City, UT) — More than 900-thousand people have pledged to participate in this year’s Great Utah ShakeOut. The yearly event is a day dedicated to practicing earthquake safety skills, as 90-percent of Utah’s population lives in an active earthquake zone because of the Wasatch Fault. This year’s Great Utah ShakeOut will take place on April 18th, and people across the state will participate in earthquake drills at school, at work, and at home. This year’s number of participants is up 20-thousand more than last year.
