One sent to hospital with minor injuries after rolling off I-70

One man is recovering from minor injuries to his face after an accident on I-70 Sunday at milepost 84, near the Fremont Jct. interchange.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, Kendall Stearns Jr. from Sunnyvale, California became drowsy as he was Eastbound on the highway.

After he fell asleep, Stearns’ vehicle drifted left, driving through the median and crossing over the Westbound lanes. He eventually rolled several times off the road.

UHP says he was secured in his vehicle do to proper wearing of a seatbelt and airbag deployment.

Stearns was taken to Sevier Valley Hospital via ambulance.
