The Norbest turkey plant in Moroni is donating 100 live turkeys to Direct Action Everywhere, the animal rights group whose members have been charged with entering a turkey growing shed and stealing a baby turkey. DxE has been in contact with Pitman Family Farms, the new owners of the Moroni plant, and Pitman has agreed to donate 100 turkeys to the group as an act of Thanksgiving mercy. The birds will be taken to local sanctuaries where they will live out their lives. Representatives of DxE will be in Moroni for a press conference on Monday afternoon at 4 p.m. outside the Norbest Moroni plant.
