Two new hunting laws that were approved by the Utah State Legislature earlier this year took effect this past Thursday. The first House Bill 295 will restrict the baiting of big game animals when hunting in Utah. This includes deer and elk. The second law, H.B. 197 prevents the DWR from issuing a fishing or hunting license to anyone that owes at least $2,500 in child support.
