Mormon Miracle Pageant attracting larger than normal crowds

The first week of the Mormon Miracle Pageant held in Manti is in the history books, and crowds so far are much larger than in past years.  Approximately 4,000 persons attended the dress rehearsals held on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week.  Opening night on Thursday saw 12,000 seated at the temple grounds.  The largest number attended on Friday when 20,000 viewed the pageant.  Saturday finished the first week with 15,000 people filling the chairs and lawn area.  The weather has been perfect so far with scattered rain in the afternoon on Saturday, but dry conditions otherwise.  This is the 53rd and final year for the pageant that has been viewed by more than 4 million people.  The cast for the final season is well over 1,100 with participants coming from as far away as Germany.
