Monroe Canyon Fire Update

The Monroe Canyon Fire in Sever County Continues to burn. As of this morning, the fire is listed at 31,820 acres and is 16 percent contained. There are currently 1,053 personnel assigned to fight the fire and the cause is still under investigation. According to the Monroe City website, ” no evacuation orders are in place for Monroe city. Fire fighters are proactively working on the fire line within Monroe Canyon as a precautionary measure only.”
