The Sanpete County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the publics help in locating a missing person. In a press release sent out the morning of Feb. 3, it was shared that 86 year old Shirlene Peterson wandered from her residence at 55 South  200 East in Ephraim sometime between 2:30 and 5:00 a.m. the same day.

Peterson suffers from dementia and is believed to still be in the surrounding neighborhoods. There will be a large Law Enforcement and Search and Rescue presence in the Ephraim area performing a grid foot search.

They are asking Ephraim residents to check their homes and yards. Residents are asked to call Sanpete County Dispatch 911 if Ms. Peterson is located or the non-emergency number at 435-835-0860 with any other information.
