On Mar. 17, Deputies with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office in California were dispatched to a missing juvenile investigation in Bakersfield. According to a post on the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, “the 10-year-old female juvenile was found to be missing under suspicious circumstances, and a detective call-out was initiated. Detectives developed information that the juvenile may be in the company of an adult male and traveling through Utah.” In a post on the Saline City Police Facebook page they shared a Salina City officer located the suspect vehicle travelling East on I-70 and made a traffic stop. 29-year-old Joshua Michael Stehle from Thornton Colorado was arrested and is being held in the Sevier County Jail. The juvenile has been returned to California and has been reunited with her parents. The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office is currently assisting the Kern County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.
