(Midway, UT) — A winter attraction in Midway is temporarily closed due to warm weather. Officials at Midway Ice Castles say current temperatures have melted the ice at the location, making it unsafe for visitors.
“It’s been a warm winter, which has made it difficult to sustain the ice,†said Ice Castles CEO Ryan Davis.
The Ice Castles closed Saturday and will reopen when normal winter temperatures return.
The site manager is urging people not to try to jump the fence to try to get in, saying the structure is unsafe and that trespassers will be cited by police.
